Fantasy Faire is here!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Wilds of Organica is participating in Fantasy Faire, which opened today and runs for one week only!

Newly released are a set of Peryton avatars, featuring ten coats (two of which are RFL exclusive!), a full AO, customizable eyes and wings that open and close when the avatar is jumping or in flight. AO animations and a limited selection of poses for Perytons is also available on site. Full information on operation can be found here.

In addition to this, a new Cheshire coat is now available, also an RFL exclusive. I’ve also updated the Cheshire line with some significant fixes and additions, including an animated mesh tail as well as corrected mesh bodies with varying arm lengths to account for primarily bipedal or quadrupedal use. A full AO is in the works, however not quite ready for release due to current workload. Ideally the mesh body fixes will allow for better movement overall, however it should be noted that older kitten animations purchased from the seperate animation vendor may be broken when used with the updated mesh bodies. Individuals who find this to be the case may contact me directly for refund or credit.

Existing users of the Cheshire avatar can expect an update to be delivered shortly. Subsequent rollouts for this update will occur for the Tabby line afterwards, with some additional coats released after that.

Fantasy Faire 2013

Wilds of Organica will be in attendance at Fantasy Faire this year!

More details are to follow, however I can say that a full set of new, large avatars is on the way! A variety of older and newer products will also be on display. The Faire only runs for about a week so do mark down Apr 21-Apr 29 2013 in your calendars!

More info on the new avatars to follow; i figured I’d update here at least to give you a sneak-peek before I logged off for the night.

Ten varieties are available and closely modelled to reflect real varieties of tulips. Each package has three tulip shapes for a little variety. They each also come with a potted version for your convenience. They feature solid textures, so no alpha flickering. They’re also 1LI per individual plant, 4LI per potted plant. As usual, these are mod/copy/no transfer.

It’s Pie Day! (and more)

Much like last year, Organica pies are free, today (March 14 2013) only! Both the main store and the satellite location at The Nest will be participating in this discount! Drop by to grab some and in the meanwhile, take some time to check out what new things have made it to the store!

In particular, these new elephant ear plants are sure to make an impression on your garden!

At 1 LI per plant at packaged size, these are incredibly efficient yet highly detailed leafy plants which are excellent low to mid-height plants which should help to add some volume at ground level. Mod, Copy, No Transfer. Available at the Main Store, @ The Nest as well as Marketplace.

Additionally, as part of the Egg Hunt at The Nest, Organica is offering the following:

These free little kids’ chairs come in five different colours and have 11 all new animations; 6 for little kids and 5 for big kids! Chairs are mod/copy with copy-only animations and are L$0 for the duration of the hunt. Explore The Nest sim to find them all!

Tiny Dragon Avatar – available March 1 at The Arcade!

I’m all set for The Arcade – are you?

The Arcade is a quarterly event featuring creations from a great selection of merchants, all offered at discounted amounts for random prizes!

The above twelve varieties of the Tiny Dragon Avatar will be available as transfer-only gacha items (with option to lock-in mod/copy edition) only at The Arcade for the duration of the event (Mar 1 to Mar 31, 2012), then only as a gacha item in-store after that.

Erosion pack update

Updates are being sent out for both the rocky and sandy versions of the erosion packs as I write this – the new package fixes a Level of Detail issue which occurs on the 90-degree angle piece. If you purchased either [ Organica ] Erosion Pack 1 (rock) or [ Organica ] Erosion Pack 2 (sand) and have not received an update package by Feb 21, please IM me directly.

The Arcade, Norns Studio, new location, land news!

Wilds of Organica will be participating in the March run at The Arcade!

For those not familiar with the event, The Arcade is a great opportunity to pick up completely new and original pieces of work from many of SL’s top content creators!

It’s a giant gachapon (random prize machine) festival that’s running March 1 thru 31st, and it features a boatload of great merchants, whom I’m humbled to be participating with. Participants offer a set number of items ranging from fashion to home decor and beyond for low prices and limited availability.

Wilds of Organica has created a special tiny dragon avatar for the occasion and more details will be unveiled closer to the event, so keep your eyes open for further news!

New to Organica Sim:

I’m very pleased to welcome Norns Studio to the Organica Commercial District.

February 15, 2013 – [ norns studio ], the first fine art gallery located at Organica, has its grand opening on Friday, February 22, 2013 with a reception from 7 – 10 pm SLT.

The opening exhibit will highlight the work of artist, Kelly Judd. Kelly Louise Judd received a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute in 2002. She continues to live and work in Kansas City. Victorian Illustration, fairy tales, abnormal psychology, and Northern Renaissance art are just a few of the things she is inspired by. Celebrate these limited edition prints as a suitable gift for the loved one in your life or to enhance your personal environment.

“I know amazing artists and, over the years, many of them have asked me to help them promote their work.
It has always been my dream to open an art gallery, and when I found this great space, I knew the time was right,” says Amas Veritas, owner of the gallery. “The goal is to place our artists’ work in a wide range of public and private collections.”

These artists are all known personally and professionally by Amas. These limited edition prints are only available at [norns studio]. The gallery plans to hold future shows featuring an international group of work with established names, as well as emerging artists.

Organica News:

Finally, I’m pleased to announce that Organica has joined the excellent merchants located at The Nest Home & Garden Shopping Town. I look forward to bringing a selection of my work to this neat space and invite you all to visit the new location as well as explore the rest of the town!

Along with this new location, the main store, which includes landscaping and home decor items, will now be known as Organica Specialty Landscaping & Home Decor. The transition will be gradual and overall the change should be minimal to those who are already familiar with the brand, however I’ve been wanting to redefine and clarify my personal goals for Organica for quite some time, and hopefully this change will make it easier for folks to find things I make which were perhaps not so easy to find previously. Ideally, trees, plants and other landscaping items will continue to be produced, however I’d also like to dedicate some more space and time decor and building items in the near future.

Land

Six parcels of land are now available in Sylvan region for residential use, ranging from 960-1680sqm at a 1.75x prim bonus, L$1.8/prim/week. Beautiful alpine-themed environment, your ideal next home! Drop by the Sylvan Land Office for more details!

The next instalment in spring flowers from Organica are these dainty but detailed mesh flowers! At 1 LI per piece, there are three shapes included to provide variety. Rez in your garden on their own or as complimentary units alongside the fields of lily-of-the-valley. Mod, copy, no transfer. Available in-world and on the Marketplace.

These new mesh cherry trees are stunning additions to any outdoor area; included are four different foliage options, plus a particle emitting version and a version for foliage change. Available in-world and on the Marketplace.

Two new hunt items!

Organica will be participating in two hunts starting shortly; Cold Winter Nights Hunt runs from Jan 15-Feb 15 and Four Walls Hunt runs Jan 17-31 2013. Each hunt showcases quality shops and content for a drastically lower introductory price. These will be the last couple of hunts I’ll be participating in for a little while, so this will be the last opportunity for you to pick up items like this for almost free!

Perhaps an odd thing to see from a landscaping and decor shop, but the intent here is they’re available as rezzable skates you could rez outdoors for whatever reason… which also happen to be wearable. So this package includes: unrigged skates (left and right) which can be either worn or rezzed out, rigged skates (two sizes, based on default male and female leg sizing with feet at 0 size. A system shoe, alpha layer and usage notes are also included. Mod, copy, no transfer.

This is the newest residential/office-style offering from Organica – spanning 17x18m and 8m tall and weighing in at 48LI at packaged size, this mesh prefab is perfect for smaller parcels where prim economy is important. The scripted horizontal blinds can also be removed for further 24LI prim savings. The interior features a roomy ground floor, with an open-concept upper level, looking out through full-length windows, perfect for enjoying surrounding scenery. Blind opacity is controlled by switch and the door can be set to provide access to the public, a specific list or owner-only. Great as a ground build or skybox! Mod, copy, no transfer, with copy-only scripts.

Both of these items will be available in-store only for the duration of the hunts, after which they will be made available for purchase at full cost both in-world and on Marketplace.
