Organica at The Home Show

Starting tomorrow (July 1, 2013), along with 47 other Home and Garden shops, Organica will be participating in The Home Show, which runs from July 1 thru 31 at Le Petite Roche and Argentina Amor sims.

Four new items will be exclusive for the duration of the event and are as follows:

Both of the above items are great for indoor or outdoor use. They are each 1LI and being mesh, require at least a mesh-capable viewer. Fill in those empty corners or perhaps divide up a large empty space? Or maybe hang from the eaves of your new home? Additionally, while both of these look great already, you can further decrease alpha flickering by using a materials-enabled viewer and enabling ‘advanced lighting’. Mod, copy, no transfer.

This new building features three fully built floors, detailed textures, a cafe on the ground floor and a loft on the upper floors. It’s 120LI at packaged size (unfurnished) with a 12.5x36m footprint.You’ll also be able to preview this new building on-site at Organica. Mod, copy, no transfer, with some copy-only scripts.

Finally,

These new espresso machines are currently props and would be great additions to any cafe, restaurant or home kitchen. Included in each package is a regular and materials optimised edition – while the product features quality baked textures, the addition of materials allows for more realistic metal gleam and overall more quality glossiness. 1LI at packaged size, mod, copy, no transfer.

Sugar Glider HUD update

A bug was reported and fixed earlier today, relating to the eye control portion of the Sugar Glider HUD, where the pupils resized to the wrong scale and proportion. This has been fixed with v1.01.

[box type=”info”] Please note: One Sugar Glider HUD is sufficient to control any set of Sugar Glider eyes. If you have multiple avatars, you only need to update one HUD and you can delete the rest.[/box]

For Transfer only editions:

Check the description field of the package. If the field is BLANK: You must LOCK IN at least one avatar to get the updated HUD. Instructions for how to do so can be found in the notecard inside the package.

If the description field of the package shows ‘UPDATED JUNE 14 2013’, please proceed normally

For Mod/Copy editions:

If you have already locked your av choice in, please TP to the Wilds of Organica shop and rez your updater prim. Please be patient – it takes a little while for the update server to check for your update.

New Sugar Glider Avatars for The Arcade Gacha Event

Wilds of Organica returns to The Arcade this month with a brand new bipedal mesh tiny!

The Arcade is a quarterly event featuring dozens of excellent designers, providing hundreds of different prizes through gachapon style vending machines!

This time, I’ll be offering sugar gliders as a prize. Each play is L$100 and there are a possible 12 coats to collect! Each avatar comes with mesh body, tail, customizable eyes and an animation overrider. Two rares are available – chances of getting one or the other are pegged at 5%.

Please note: While the vending machine dispenses transfer-only editions of these avatars, you can always lock-in your avatar by exchanging the transferable edition for the mod/copy edition. Doing this will also entitle you to any updates available for the avatar.

Organica at Home & Garden Expo 2013

Organica returns to the Home and Garden Expo this year with a variety of new products!

First up, this new structure is the product of a lot of research and construction to capture the essence of an abandonment located in Detroit, called St. Agnes (later, Martyrs of Uganda Parish), but better known as St. Stony by many urban explorers.

Built during the early 1900s, the structure was abandoned by 2006 and has fallen victim to a great many acts of vandalism; metal parts have been salvaged for scrap, ornate tiles removed and smashed, pews torn away and organ smashed to bits. By the time I got a chance to visit in late 2010, graffiti had crept ideas way to the interior, and things have only gotten worse since then. While the building was acquired in 2012 once again, it remains to be seen whether the building will be restored or simply torn down, like so much of Detroit has been in recent years.

In any case, the key goal for me with this project was to preserve a sense of the building as I remember it, rather than to produce a straight copy, and hopefully that comes across here.

The building is 36m by 60m, with a 20m ceiling and 35m spire. It is packed in a rezzer for easy unpacking and placement, and features high quality textures, efficient modeling, scripted doors, optional window light rays. It’s mod/copy/no- transfer, with some copy- only scripts.

This wrought iron chandelier is low LI and compliments many environments quite well. This item is unscripted, and offered mod/copy/no-transfer.

These new Amazon lilies are ideal for rivers or ponds. 1 li at packaged size, unscripted. Mod/copy/no transfer.

Additionally, drop by to pick up some new RFL-exclusive items! Both are mod/copy/no transfer and being mesh, require a mesh capable viewer. They are RFL exclusives, so remember to pick them up while the fundraiser is on! (Other RFL exclusives from previous years will also be available in the main store as well as on-site at Home Expo)

Drop by Organica’s spot at Home & Garden Expo to view these items for the duration of the show (May 24, 12PM to June 2), after which everything will be moved to the main store.

New for FaMESHed!

As part of FaMESHed’s first birthday celebrations, Organica will be making a return to the event with this new furniture set, designed around Hoya flowers! The set includes seven pieces in total; a couch, day bed, coffee table and side table, open and closed-version of an ottoman as well as a ceiling lamp. All pieces are mod/copy, with some copy only scripts. Available at FaMESHed, starting May 1 2013!

Fantasy Faire 2013

Wilds of Organica will be in attendance at Fantasy Faire this year!

More details are to follow, however I can say that a full set of new, large avatars is on the way! A variety of older and newer products will also be on display. The Faire only runs for about a week so do mark down Apr 21-Apr 29 2013 in your calendars!

Ten varieties are available and closely modelled to reflect real varieties of tulips. Each package has three tulip shapes for a little variety. They each also come with a potted version for your convenience. They feature solid textures, so no alpha flickering. They’re also 1LI per individual plant, 4LI per potted plant. As usual, these are mod/copy/no transfer.

It’s Pie Day! (and more)

Much like last year, Organica pies are free, today (March 14 2013) only! Both the main store and the satellite location at The Nest will be participating in this discount! Drop by to grab some and in the meanwhile, take some time to check out what new things have made it to the store!

In particular, these new elephant ear plants are sure to make an impression on your garden!

At 1 LI per plant at packaged size, these are incredibly efficient yet highly detailed leafy plants which are excellent low to mid-height plants which should help to add some volume at ground level. Mod, Copy, No Transfer. Available at the Main Store, @ The Nest as well as Marketplace.

These free little kids’ chairs come in five different colours and have 11 all new animations; 6 for little kids and 5 for big kids! Chairs are mod/copy with copy-only animations and are L$0 for the duration of the hunt. Explore The Nest sim to find them all!

Tiny Dragon Avatar – available March 1 at The Arcade!

I’m all set for The Arcade – are you?

The Arcade is a quarterly event featuring creations from a great selection of merchants, all offered at discounted amounts for random prizes!

The above twelve varieties of the Tiny Dragon Avatar will be available as transfer-only gacha items (with option to lock-in mod/copy edition) only at The Arcade for the duration of the event (Mar 1 to Mar 31, 2012), then only as a gacha item in-store after that.

The Arcade, Norns Studio, new location, land news!

Wilds of Organica will be participating in the March run at The Arcade!

For those not familiar with the event, The Arcade is a great opportunity to pick up completely new and original pieces of work from many of SL’s top content creators!

It’s a giant gachapon (random prize machine) festival that’s running March 1 thru 31st, and it features a boatload of great merchants, whom I’m humbled to be participating with. Participants offer a set number of items ranging from fashion to home decor and beyond for low prices and limited availability.

Wilds of Organica has created a special tiny dragon avatar for the occasion and more details will be unveiled closer to the event, so keep your eyes open for further news!

New to Organica Sim:

I’m very pleased to welcome Norns Studio to the Organica Commercial District.

As per Norns Studio’s press release:

February 15, 2013 – [ norns studio ], the first fine art gallery located at Organica, has its grand opening on Friday, February 22, 2013 with a reception from 7 – 10 pm SLT.

The opening exhibit will highlight the work of artist, Kelly Judd. Kelly Louise Judd received a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute in 2002. She continues to live and work in Kansas City. Victorian Illustration, fairy tales, abnormal psychology, and Northern Renaissance art are just a few of the things she is inspired by. Celebrate these limited edition prints as a suitable gift for the loved one in your life or to enhance your personal environment.

“I know amazing artists and, over the years, many of them have asked me to help them promote their work.
It has always been my dream to open an art gallery, and when I found this great space, I knew the time was right,” says Amas Veritas, owner of the gallery. “The goal is to place our artists’ work in a wide range of public and private collections.”

The [ norns studio ] is the newest addition to Organica sim, owned by Aki Shichiroji, The dynamic, tri level open gallery exhibits emerging, mid-career and established artists creating contemporary works on paper, paintings, fine art photography and assemblage. The focus of [norns studio] is the ‘promotion for creative development ‘. The gallery offers an unforgettable experience for those who appreciate the beauty of fine works of art.

The gallery plans to hold future shows featuring an international group of work with established names, as well as emerging artists.

Organica News:

Finally, I’m pleased to announce that Organica has joined the excellent merchants located at The Nest Home & Garden Shopping Town. I look forward to bringing a selection of my work to this neat space and invite you all to visit the new location as well as explore the rest of the town!

Along with this new location, the main store, which includes landscaping and home decor items, will now be known as Organica Specialty Landscaping & Home Decor. The transition will be gradual and overall the change should be minimal to those who are already familiar with the brand, however I’ve been wanting to redefine and clarify my personal goals for Organica for quite some time, and hopefully this change will make it easier for folks to find things I make which were perhaps not so easy to find previously. Ideally, trees, plants and other landscaping items will continue to be produced, however I’d also like to dedicate some more space and time decor and building items in the near future.
